When something happens to make life difficult, you can give up, or you can dig in and work harder to overcome the obstacle that was presented to you. Ralph Marino decided to overcome the obstacles that were placed before him.

Over thirty years ago, in a collision at home plate, Ralph Marino received a neck injury that left him paralyzed from his shoulders to his toes. Since that fateful day, Ralph has graduated from college and has been a successful high school basketball coach and school social worker.

Ralph offers presentations and workshops in special education areas and the motivational field. Through these workshops and presentations, Ralph shares the story of his life, and the importance of the three “F”s that continue to help him through life. The three F's are Faith, Family, and Friends. He teaches you how to ACT:

While life has been difficult for Ralph, his presentation is no sob story. Those who attend will laugh at some of the circumstances that Ralph has found himself in. They will be inspired by his life. Ralph often says, “The wheelchair has given me the empowerment to become successful.” Let him help you, and those you teach or work with will become successful, too.

I am now retired, and writing a book which will be called, "At the plate." An entire story of my life from before I was injuried until present times. The book will give you an insite of apperication of life, and not take things for granted. To be able to live life to the fullest each and everyday. My moto is: "Tough times don't last, tough guys do." My faith in god, and my dedcation to my family is unpresentented. I also feel that the people who think you can't are the ones that need the most prayer, and encouragement.
